Who We Are

The Poverello Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food, shelter, clothing and other essential services to our community's hungry and homeless population in and around Missoula, MT.

For the past 40 years, we have proudly worked in conjunction with community members, local groups, government agencies, and other organizations to fight the issues of homelessness, hunger, and poverty on all fronts – while fostering dignity and engendering hope.

What We Do

Through the Poverello Center's emergency shelter, veterans housing, and Homeless Outreach Team we offer following resources, supplies, and service to those who need them:

  • Shelter and emergency housing
  • Hot meals, sack lunch, and food pantry services
  • Clothing and laundry services
  • Toiletries, bathrooms, and showering facilities
  • Storage services
  • Mail, phone, messaging, and computer services
  • Healthcare services and mental health services
  • 12 step meetings and other addiction services
  • Job and employment services
  • Homeless outreach services
  • Veterans programs and services
  • Community educational programs
  • Community resource referral services
