Who We Are

The Salvation Army has served the community of Missoula, Montana since 1894. The organization first began in London, England in 1865. Our Mission: The Salvation Army is an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

What We Do

The Salvation Army provides a wide range of services, including emergency assistance like food, shelter, and clothing, alongside programs for rehabilitation, job training, and disaster relief, all while offering spiritual and worship services to those in need. Specifically in Missoula, we provide free shower and laundry services through our Hygiene Center, and free food through our Cafe and Emergency Food Box program. Also available at our site is transportation assistance for individuals and families looking to relocate from Missoula to a different location that will improve their quality of life (i.e. work, shelter, medical/rehab treatment, domestic violence, stranded and needing to get home).
