The Health Department is recruiting volunteers to assist with the communications team’s outreach program. Due to the high level of vaccine hesitancy in Missoula County, we are building a program to equip Missoulians to talk to family, friends, and neighbors about the COVID-19 vaccines.
This work is incredibly important to our community-wide goal of herd immunity. The demand for vaccine appointments have slowed down since April 1st, but there are still many Missoulians who have not been vaccinated. This means that there are likely people within your network that have not been vaccinated.
We need vaccine advocates to counter misinformation with resources, media literacy, and vaccine clinic information. This can entail tabling, safely canvassing your neighborhood, social media outreach, or spreading information within an organization you are involved with.
