The gift shop at Community Medical Center is a fun and interesting place to volunteer. Visitors, patients, family members and CMC employees all gather in the gift shop to shop or relax for a few minutes. There are large windows to the outside and a fireplace in the waiting area outside the gift shop.
The gift shop contains a variety of gifts, personal care products, candy and gum, jewelry, speakers, insulated coffee and drink containers, stuffed animals, baby items and framed artwork, just to name a few of the many items available.
Volunteers will interact with customers, help select gift shop merchandise, operate the cash register, take payments and give change, price and help organize merchandise, and keep the gift shop organized and clean. Volunteers learn a relatively simple computer program and handle money.
Gift shop volunteer benefits include free meals, 30% off gift shop merchandise, free parking and other benefits.
All Community Medical Center volunteers must pass a background check and drug screen, meet with Employee Health and participate in a brief orientation.
