30th Annual Fifth Grade Art Experience!
This fall marks Missoula Art Museum's 30th Annual Fifth Grade Art Experience, an educational program that brings fifth graders from all over Missoula County and beyond to the museum each weekday morning October 5th-January 6th for a tour and a hands-on art project in our classroom. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to join our amazing Art Guide team!
MAM's Art Guide Program trains dedicated individuals to lead tours of our exhibitions for all ages using Visual Thinking Strategies. Art Guides use three key questions that lead students to look deeper into the artwork. Art guides facilitate the discussion, adding guidance and relative information when necessary. No matter what your strengths are -- communication, art appreciation, love for education, and being with children -- you can find a place in MAM's Fifth Grade Art Experience. Not only the students benefit, you too will be enriched by participating in this project as students will enthusiastically lead you to see and understand art in new ways.
