Description

Want to help keep the downtown stretch of the Clark Fork River healthy? Come to a volunteer training on Thursday, June 25th from 5:30-6:30pm to learn how you can help the Clark Fork Coalition and the City of Missoula find a way to reduce erosion and improve riparian habitat, while still allowing Missoula's culture of river recreation to thrive.

Volunteers will be trained in collecting data for the Urban River Restoration and Access Plan. Data collection will happen in July and August with extremely flexible volunteer hours on both weekends and weekdays. Volunteers are needed to distribute surveys and count river users along the downtown stetch in order to help craft a win-win solution for the health of the river as well as tubers, boaters, swimmers, and other river lovers.

We'll meet at the Clark Fork Coalition office at 140 S. 4th St West. Have questions? Want to sign up for the training? Can't make the training but still want to get involved? Contact CFC's volunteer coordinator at katie@clarkfork.org or (406) 542-0539 ext. 212
