Are you passionate about horses and helping others? Our horse barn is looking for dedicated volunteers to assist with equine-assisted therapy sessions, therapeutic riding sessions and barn/facility cleaning. In this unique and rewarding opportunity, you'll work alongside therapists, trainers, board members and horses to help individuals with various physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges achieve their goals.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Assist with setting up sessions
- Lead horses during sessions (training provided)
- Support therapists/staff
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for participants and horses
- Help with grooming, tacking, and basic horse care tasks
- Cleaning the barn and other facilities
Volunteer Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Attend training session(s)
- Comfortable around horses (previous experience is a plus but not required)
- Able to commit to a regular schedule (weekly or bi-weekly)
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable
