Position Summary: Volunteer Pathways Advocates provide support, information, and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, child abuse, and child sexual abuse. Advocates understand and adhere to the empowerment model. By providing information, support, referrals, and a safe environment, the YWCA strives to assist women, men, and children to live free of violence and make their own choices and decisions.
Ways to Volunteer:
• Answer Crisis Line
• Provide In-Person Services for Walk-In Clients
• Work as a Women’s or Children’s Advocate at the Shelter
• Lead Support Groups • Foster a Pet
• Provide Response Services
