Missoula Aging Services has a program to help older adults and adults with disabilities live independently at home by assisting with seasonal outside chores. The Cleanup Crew Program helps clients who cannot physically complete the tasks, have anyone they can ask, or generally afford to pay someone to help.
The Cleanup Crew program relies on volunteers to help with chores such as:
- Snow removal
- Lawn mowing
- Weeding
- Shrub trimming
- Garden planting
- Leaf raking
- Debris removal
- Yard fruit removal and donation
- Window screen replacement
- Window cleaning
In addition to volunteering their time, people can also donate yard cleanup tools for the program. Missoula Aging Services welcomes yard tool donations, new or gently used. Our tool library is available to volunteers to use.
This volunteer opportunity is great for group service days and teaching children about service! We just need one 18+ adult to be onboarded as a volunteer per group. This is a very flexible volunteer opportunity. You get to decide when, where and how much you will help the clients of your choice.
For anyone interested in volunteering, donating, or signing up as a client, please call Missoula Aging Services at (406) 728-7682.
